We're excited to announce a substantial performance improvement for multi-unit plans and applies in Gruntwork Pipelines, thanks to optimizations in Terragrunt v0.93.1.

Pipelines authenticates each environment using the Terragrunt Auth Provider Command. Every time Terragrunt parses configurations, it must ensure the correct authentication context is available from Pipelines. Previously, configurations were parsed serially—often multiple times—resulting in minutes of wasted time spent waiting for authentication.

With v0.93.1, configurations are now parsed in parallel just once, making authentication substantially faster. As a Pipelines customer, this will reduce your run times by minutes, often resulting in 5-10x faster authentication in large IaC codebases with many accounts!

No changes to your Pipelines configurations are needed. Simply upgrade Terragrunt to v0.93.1 in your .mise.toml for faster runs today!
